Index Console checks websites the way Google reads them. This page explains what we collect for the free checks and for signed-in accounts, and what we never do.

What we read

When you type a site address, our bot reads that site's public robots.txt, sitemap and pages, the same way a search engine does. We only read pages anyone can open without logging in.

Free checks

The free checks do not need an account. We do not save the addresses you check or the results. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps short technical logs (such as the time of a request and the visitor's IP address) to run and protect the service.

Signing in with Google

When you sign in, Google tells us your name, your email address and an ID for your Google account. With your permission, Google also gives us read-only access to your Search Console data. We never change anything in your Search Console.

With that access we read: the list of sites in your Search Console, their sitemaps, how many clicks each site got from Google search, and Google's report on each page in your sitemaps (URL Inspection). We use this only to show you your board, your problems and how to fix them.

What we keep for signed-in accounts

• Your name and email address.
• The keys Google gives us to read your Search Console, stored encrypted.
• The sites you choose to watch, and the results of their last few checks: each page's address, what our bot saw on it, and what Google reports about it.
• The problems we found, with when each was first seen and when it was fixed.

This data is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Index Console's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing your data

You can stop our access at any time in your Google account under third-party connections. Our checks then stop. To delete everything we keep about you, email yasir.jalal.khan@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete it within 7 days.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. When you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one during sign-in that protects it from forgery. Your day or night choice is saved in your own browser.
